Self care is priority

As we journey through the ebb and flow of life, it's essential to pause, breathe, and check in with ourselves. Next week we celebrate all things love on Valentines Day.



In the spirit of nurturing our well-being, it is important to put our needs first and prioritise our self care. I want to share three powerful ways yoga teaches us to practice self-love and self-care:

Embrace Mindfulness: Take time each day to cultivate presence and awareness. Whether it's through meditation, mindful movement, or simply pausing to savor a cup of tea, allow yourself to be fully present in the moment. Mindfulness invites us to embrace each experience with curiosity, fostering a deeper connection with ourselves and the world around us.


Honor Your Body: Treat your body with kindness and compassion. Engage in activities that nourish your physical well-being, like practicing yoga, going for a walk in nature, or enjoying a restorative massage. Listen to your body's cues and honor its needs with love and care. Remember that self-love begins with self-acceptance, embracing every curve, scar, and imperfection as a testament to your unique beauty and strength.


Cultivate Gratitude: Cultivate an attitude of gratitude for the simple things in your life. Each day, reflect on the blessings that surround you, no matter how small. Whether it's the warmth of the sun on your face, the laughter of loved ones, or, practicing gratitude opens our hearts to the beauty and wonder of the present moment.
